Is a pre-purchase inspection the same as a roadworthy?
No. A roadworthy only checks the safety items a vehicle needs to be registered. It doesn't look at the engine, gearbox or overall condition. A pre-purchase inspection looks at the whole car, so you know what you're really buying.
Can you inspect a car I'm buying privately?
Yes. Arrange with the seller to bring the car to our workshop at 4 Campbell Street, Shepparton, then book a time online or call us on (03) 5821 1066.
What happens if you find problems?
We tell you what we found, how urgent it is and roughly what it would cost to fix. You can then use that to negotiate on price, ask the seller to fix it, or walk away.

Yes. We inspect cars, utes, 4WDs, vans and light commercial vehicles, petrol and diesel, all makes and models.
Should I still get a roadworthy?
If you're buying a registered vehicle in Victoria, the seller usually needs to provide a roadworthy certificate. A pre-purchase inspection is extra peace of mind on top of that, because it checks far more than safety items.
